 Gerald Logan
I am currently vice principal at Alexander Forbes School in Grande Prairie. I have acted in several technology related roles with local school boards and as a consultant with Alberta Learning. In my current assignment I teach Computer Studies 8 and 9.
My professional interests include digital learning resources or "Learning Objects" and how teachers use them, as well as engaging students with authentic communication and collaboration projects. The SciQ Water Quality pilot is a prime example.
I have been lucky enough to have been part of several research projects that have extended our knowledge and informed practice in these areas. I have also been fortunate enough to have been selected to work with Project Overseas, in Serria Leone and St. Vincent. In both cases I helped educators understand and learn to use technology.
